Je m’intéresse principalement à la manipulation parasitaire ainsi qu’à ses conséquences écologiques et évolutives. Les organismes ‘parasitiquement’ modifiés sont véritablement complexes, avec de nouvelles propriétés comparés aux individus sains. Identifier ces nouvelles propriétés et comprendre leurs conséquences sur les autres espèces et sur l’écosystème reste un domaine de recherche fascinant et encore peu exploré. Notre approche est pluridisciplinaire (écologie comportementale, protéomique, modélisation…). Je m’intéresse en parallèle à la biologie évolutive humaine ainsi qu’à l’origine infectieuse et l’évolution du cancer. La compréhension de ces phénomènes est stimulante non seulement sur le plan fondamental mais aussi en raison des nombreuses applications possibles en parasitologie, épidémiologie et médecine.
