Her work is mainly focused on the genetics of Leishmania parasites (PhD in Parasitology, University of Montpellier, France). Research topics: Molecular epidemiology – Phylogeny – Asymptomatics carriers – Clinical polymorphism – Leishmania Leishmania donovani complex.

She is now involved in the International Joint Laboratory “Drug Resistance in South Asia” (LMI DRISA) which aims to study antimicrobial resistance (tuberculosis and other bacterial diseases). Her main skills are genetics and molecular biology.
